Pledge about Minister's Pay

We, the citizens of Singapore,
pledge ourselves as one united people,
regardless of race, language or religion,
to urge the PAP to reduce the renumeration
of cabinet ministers, and to contribute the
difference to those in need,
to build a democratic society
based on justice and equality
so as to achieve happiness, prosperity and
progress for our nation.

Quips from All Over

About Transformation in the PAP...
I think if Dr. Vivian Krishnan and company i.e. Lim Swee Say, Gan Kim Yong and Khaw Boon Wan are still around, nothing much would change. Lim Swee Say would do nothing to improve wages of the lowest income group; Gan Kim Yong would still keep open the floodgates to foreigners and Khaw Boon Wan would still charge himself and his friends S$8.00 for a by-pass surgery while old aunties and uncles would die for lack of medical help.

About MM Lee Kuan Yew leaving Cabinet...
Lao Lee, thanks for stepping down. Now please lie down

Generally about any explanations by PAP Ministers and MPs
There's only one kind of nonsense in SG - the state-sponsored kind. Triple-distilled, aged in oak barrels and carbon-filtered, served cold.

A Successor
Dragon Lee looking for successor
Perhaps its time to say goodbye
He himself knows well
His time is not to be lightly felt

He is drawing closer as he may
Towards his eternal bed
For all the sorrows he had spray
This country is all in blaze

Because of his evil ways
The nation now is in disarray
The rising cost, the darken days
A greedy thought, the nation pays

God is clearing the way
For our nation had to Him prayed
Sorrowful nights, by which we cry
The Lord had heard us up from high.

Its Enough

My ground
I do not work for Dynasty Lee
Neither a party to their evil feast
I saw the sorrows of spiraling fees
The nation thrown off feet
We are now at the ditch
The ditch of mud and creeps

Our nation’s fund they drain it dry
With smile and cheerful eyes
They kill the songbird in return
For fortunes of their own
Wake up nation, wake up now
He stalls the Dark Age clouds.

Its Enough

PAP ministers start collecting pensions at age 55 EVEN IN OFFICE

It only happens in clean, un-corrupt Singapore..

For some funny reasons BG Teo Chee Hean, often thought of as the successor to BG Lee, the current Prime Minister, revealed that PAP ministers start collecting pensions at age 55 even while they were in office. The guidelines were quite specific..they must be Ministers and PAP members.

It creates an almost ludicrous and comical scenario. Singapore citizens are kept so busy working their arse off...paying close to 40% of their incomes into a Central Provident Funds, whose money they can only take out in trickles after the age of 65....and the Minister of PAP earn millions in Salaries, plus Bonuses, Directors fees sitting on State owned Companies Boards, and now Pensions???

What else will the citizens of Singapore discover next?

Ironies about Singapore Cabinet Minister's Pay

Quotations from various Political Social Media...

"The Government ask the hawkers in Serangoon not to raise the price of cook food and at the same time MINISTERS were awarded with EIGHT month bonuses. WHERE ARE THEIR MORAL STANDING?"

"PAP ask us to compete with the world, to compare our salaries with those from China and India and tell us again and again that if we lose our jobs, it must be our faults,…not able to learn new things, not competitive, not fast enough, refuse to embrace changes,,, blah blah, loads of shits. WHY DON'T THEY COMPARE their own pay with WenJia Bao or Mr Singh.

They make 5 -10 times as much running country that is a fraction of the size of China or India, both in area, GNP and Complexity."

The "PAP" Nomenclature

More and more unhappy but politically aware citizens, are coming out with more creative Brand Positioning Taglines for the PAP, the incumbent party that have ruled with No Opposition for more than 50 years, since the country's independence.

PAY and PAY - was a popular tagline for a long time, referring to the government's ingenious ways to tax the people by the imposing fees of every kind. Living in Singapore become a PAY and PAY experience. In the recent years, with the populace finding it difficult to maintain their current standards of life... stagnant incomes, rising cost of living and More PAY and Pay, people have become disgruntled with the ruling PAP. This has given rise to even more creative taglines.

PAY and POKAI - is a derivative of PAY and PAY. "Pokai" for being bankrupt. Bankruptcies are certain on the rise in Singapore. Instead of arresting is pace of increase, the PAP government has openly declared that its OK to be bankrupt and have relaxed bankruptcy laws to make is easier for bankrupts to be reinstated as business owners and company directors.

PARTY AGAINST PEOPLE - has become popular since the General Election in in May 2011. The May elections confirmed that at least 40% of Singaporeans feel that PAP policies are against them...maybe for the rich and powerful, for themselves, for the immigrants, for the foreigners, etc. Hence PARTY AGAINST PEOPLE.

PAPIES - This word does not have any specific meaning but does sound quite derogatory. It is commonly used to annotate PAP supporters and members. The closest I got to a definition is when someone explained to me, "You know the Pap Smear, you know where they do it?...its something like that"

Not to be let down, Goh Chok Tong, the ex-Prime Minster of Singapore now Senior Minister
drawing a annual salary way beyond S$3,000,000, labelled the National Solidarity Party, (NSP), a growing in strength opposition party as "No Substance Party"

Meanwhile there are calls to PAP to change its name to Foreigners Action Party (FAP) and Immigrants Action Party (IAP) in recognition of the Parties dedication to create a Singapore of which are new immigrants. At the recent 2011 elections, some 100,000 new citizens voted for the PAP. In the 2016, elections some 1,000,000 new residents will be eligible vote, way ahead of the children of young Singapore couples today.

There are lots more...many which is inappropriate to express here. Those who like to explore this further may view this YouTube Video.

Marrietocracy vs Meritocracy

Marriedtocracy was a a word creatively coined by a Temasek Review commentator about the newly appoint PAP Member of Parliament(MP) Tin Pei Lin. Tin Pei Lin was voted as the most unpopular candidate by people online, but won her MP seat as part of the Group Representative Council (GRC) helmed by the ex-Prime Minister, now Minister Mentor Goh ChokTong.

The Group Representative Council is a world unique democratic structure created by the PAP government and was legislated into existence by the then PAP controlled Parliament. Under this system, electoral constituencies were integrated into blocks and the individual MPs would contest the General Elections as a Group. Singapore citizens hate the system as it brings to them Parliamentary Representatives that they actually do not favor like the presently discussed Tin Pei Lin. Even more, everyone can see that it is a ploy to perpetuate PAP power since it is not easy for the budding opposition to group up a strong team against one led by an existing cabinet minister.

The story behind Tin Pei Lin's rise in the PAP regime has been attributed to her marriage to the Private Secretary of the current Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Hence the term Marriedtocracy instead of the much favored value of Meritocracy in Singapore.

2011 is a watershed year for Singapore..not just for the loud outcry of protest against the PAP government, but for the ushering in of a new national value MARRIEDTOCRACY.
